I am a UK resident in Poland who want to understand my legal position regarding a bank account that was opened ( and now closed) in the Isle of Man - it was to take UK income after Brexit and I was unaware I needed a Individual Foreign Exchange permit. I have closed this after 4 months once I discovered the legal issues.
The Bank failed to tell me I needed such a permit when I was going through validation and I believe that they broke the terms of their banking licence.
The authorities are not chasing me as I closed it voluntarily I want to understand the legal position
